Venturi blowers operate on the Venturi jet-pump principle. Compressed air or steam enters a concentric manifold chamber surrounding a Venturi throat. Orifices positioned symmetrically around the chamber expand the high-velocity air into the reaction zone downstream of the throat. The high-velocity jet imparts its energy to the surrounding slower-moving air — accelerating it and drawing more air through the throat in a continuous amplification effect. A conical diffuser controls the direction and expansion rate of the accelerated air.
