When creating an eye or loop in wire rope for lifting or load-bearing applications, the integrity of the termination is paramount. Our Heavy Duty Wire Rope Clips (often called Bulldog Clips or U-Bolt Clamps) are manufactured from drop-forged steel to provide superior strength and grip compared to malleable iron clips. They are designed to meet strict safety standards for use in construction, marine, and oilfield rigging.
Installation Tip: "Never Saddle a Dead Horse"
Always install the clip so the U-Bolt sits on the "dead" (short) end of the rope and the saddle sits on the "live" (load-carrying) end. This ensures maximum holding power and prevents damage to the live rope.

- High Holding Efficiency: When installed correctly, provides up to 80-90% of the wire rope's breaking load efficiency.
